OrderDak vs Docs by Ira
Docs by Ira, inside TallyPrime 7.1, turns clean PDFs and images into draft vouchers, one document per file, and is priced per page. OrderDak reads orders from email, pasted WhatsApp text, PDF, Excel and printed photos, checks price, credit, stock and duplicate POs, and creates Tally Sales Orders. Pick Docs by Ira for simple PDF drafts in Tally; pick OrderDak when orders come in many formats and need checks.
Docs by Ira is Tally's own AI document reader, released with TallyPrime 7.1 in June 2026. Tally's help says it creates Sales, Purchase, Credit Note, Debit Note, Delivery Note, Receipt Note, Sales Order and Purchase Order vouchers from PDF, PNG, JPG and ZIP files, as drafts you review. Images can be shared into it from WhatsApp through the TallyIra mobile app. Per Tally's help, it does not support handwritten documents, needs one transaction per file and the same voucher type for every file in a batch, works in India only, and needs TallyPrime 7.1 or later with an active TSS.

Pick Docs by Ira if your orders are clean PDFs or images, one document per file, you only use Tally, and you are already on TallyPrime 7.1 with an active TSS. It also reads purchase bills and other voucher types, which OrderDak does not do today.
Pick OrderDak if…
Pick OrderDak if orders arrive as emails, pasted WhatsApp chats, Excel sheets and photos as well as PDFs, and you want each one checked against your price list, party rates, credit limit, stock, pack size and earlier PO numbers before it reaches Tally. OrderDak also learns each customer's names for your items, keeps an audit log, and makes Busy and Marg import files (beta).

Not always. Docs by Ira is about ₹1 per page after free pages (est.). OrderDak is free for your first 3 months, then about ₹0.25 per order read with AI (est.), plus OCR for scans. Compare on your own volume.
Can I use both?
Yes. They don't block each other. Some teams may use Docs by Ira for purchase bills and OrderDak for customer orders.
Do I need TallyPrime 7.1 for OrderDak?
No. OrderDak works with TallyPrime 3.0 or later.
